Let me just clear things up first - despite what you may think based on my name, I am not Jewish nor do I have any jewish ancestors that I know of. But I also have no problem with them as a religion. This post is strictly about Isreal as a nation.
With that out of the way, I just want to rant right now. Look at the headline on that news article. Isreal arrests senior Hamas lawmaker, an elected official, from his home. Wonder why they didn't say “abducted” or “kidnapped”. I wanna know why this kind of behavior is ok, but they flip out when two of their soldiers are captured. As far as I am concerned, Isreal is just as bad as Hamas and Hezbollah. This double standard that goes on is really pretty pathetic.
What defines a terrorist organization? Isreal has murdered hundreds of Lebanese civilians in the past few weeks. Does that make IDF a terrorist organization? I think it does. It's easy as Americans to sit back and believe the shit George Bush oozes into a microphone about how the muslim world hates us because of our freedom and values. The fact is, the muslim world hates us because we fund Isreal's assault on them.
I'm not anti-American, Hulk Hogan and Superman are my childhood heroes. I'm not pro terrorism, I think violence sucks in general. I'm just trying to have an objective mind here. From where I stand, Isreal is not “the good guy“ battling evil and our elected officials have just as much blood on their hands as Hamas and Hezbollah for perpetuating the violence. It just makes me sick.
